The AT4 automatic tablet-testing system, weight, thickness, diameter and hardness, ensures rapid test throughput, short measurement cycles and high cost-effectiveness. The AT4 transport system makes it possible to test almost all tablet shapes, even oblong and special shapes. Thanks to the clear design, the test samples are visible throughout the whole test. The standard machine can be fitted with a 12-magazine feeder and/or with a sample collector. Various air-transport systems for connection to a tablet press are also available.

The Tablet Hardness Tester 8M has been successfully installed into the majority of In-Process-Control (IPC) and Quality Control (QC) applications throughout the world.

Reliable, easy to use, extended product memory, full calibration and verification (load cell linearity check), plus a printed report at the end of every test makes the 8M the perfect choose for customers requiring a tablet tester for any combination of weight, thickness, diameter and hardness.  

The basic 8M tester measures tablet diameter and hardness, however, for customers requiring thickness and weight measurements, an external Mitutoyo gauge and Mettler Toledo or Sartorius balance can be connected to the 8M.  

The tester can be programmed to test any batch between 1 and 100 tablets. As soon as the prerequisite number of tablets has been tested, then the statistics are automatically printed including weight, thickness, diameter and hardness (or whichever are enabled). Individual tablet results as well as test maximum, minimum, mean and Sabs and Srel are included in the report.

By using the connecting keyboard the operator can enter important information such as product name and number plus batch identification number, nominal targets, T1 and T2 tolerances and traceability of the tablet, (press ID and container number), this information is then included with the test report.

In order to check the working function (repeatability)of the 6D, 5Y and 8M hardness testers, there are Function Checking Device's available with a rating of 5Kp, 10Kp, 15Kp and 20Kp. Each FCD comes with a 12 month calibration certificate.

These devices do not replace a calibration with weights!
